You must be a WAC membership to purchase guns. You may however purchase everything else. You can still apply and get membership on the spot if you have a Conceal Carry permit and pay for membersip. If you dont h ave a CCP you can still apply but the process is alittle slower since they will have to do a Background check on you which slows things down.

Or goto a show like the one at Centralia, and not have to sign up or pay anything other than a door fee. Then proceed to oogle and purchase to your hearts content all the overpriced guns that gunshows are notorious for.

I find the gun shows to be a lot like this forum...

There are good deals to be found.
There are lots of overpriced guns to drool over.
There are nice guys who know their weapons and can carry on an intelligent conversation.
There are assholes who think that they know everything (must have a wonderful home life!).

A free market is just that...free. mgdrillsergeant
Freedom to charge more than it's worth.
    Freedom to make a profit.
    Freedom not to buy.

The nice thing about belonging to the Washington Arms Collector's is that they are an advocate for our rights in this state.
By restricting sales to members (who've passed a background check) we keep the "Gun Show" a legitimate and above board operation that gives little ammunition to the anti-gun crowd.

My guess is that the people who complain about gun show prices have let themselves get screwed at some time in the past. reddogz

If you join the same day that you attend the show they will include your ticket price as part of the membership fee!

    Go and enjoy! tiphatt

Just driving an hour each way to go to the show and finding nothing but overpriced stuff you could have bought cheaper 2 miles from home is enough to make you feel screwed.

The problem with the gun shows is exactly the same problem you find here...good deals stand out like strobe light and don't last long, so if you stroll in to a gun show on sunday afternoon, all you're going to find is the stuff that didn't sell.

My philosophy for the gun shows is go early, go often...and complain a lot.
