I think your off base kawasucky. Number of bumps shouldn't be limited, nobody is forcing anybody to look at that specific ad...

OK I've calmed down. I'm not naming names, but there is a nice .308 AK from Mitchell. Unfired. I can honestly say I don't know the value, but there have been no takers here. The seller is following the rules. But it's been a year. Maybe a time limit? Maybe a gentle reminder from the the mods to try a price drop if you actually want to sell it, but really just dreaming and hanging on for a price should perhaps have a time limit, but free to re-post in 3-6 months or something (hard to enforce).

IF YOU DON'T LIKE GUNS, THEN DON'T OWN ONE.
45 + rating, so between that and my CPL, you can't trust me, thanks to I-594! Thanks WA state.

    Guys, it's virtual space.
Those 12 items on the board that have been here since day one are easy to just skip over.
Think of it this way, "Here is an ad that is not reaching it's target audience."
If it did, the item would sell quickly.
    So just laugh and point.

    As far as prices...
If someone thinks their 1972 pinto is rare and wants $10K for it...let them "Want" and walk on.
Someone who bitches about prices, is someone who wants that item.
If you don't want the item, you don't look at the price.
Unless you're planning to flip it. Something that the site discourages.

I am not a LEO, and I am not a Lawyer.
If you don't like my opinion, then don't follow it.

Nothing personal, but in my opinion and experience...crappy idea.

Ive had stuff on here priced FAIRLY priced for a good deal of time bumped legitly... Sold after months, PVS7 G3 nightvision setup for 1. Ammo a bunch of times for another. Some stuff just takes more time to move.

I just dont get why people are so fucking concerned about what other people are doing, or how the site is run. Seriously.

If you dont like a thread, dont post in it.
If you dont like a price dont buy it
If you dont like the site, logout.

These threads hurt my head worse than Steyers postwhore trollig :O)

Once again not directed at you at all directly dudebroman ;O)... Its just laughable that so many grown ass men cry like little girls about things of so little concern so often round hurr.

There are just as many threads complaining about shit as there are about anything else. If you dont like it, you move along. Its SERIOUSLY that easy.

Wow, not complaining, I didn't start the post here I just agree that there should be a limit. If it hasn't sold in 20 bumps and a year you may want to try a new approach such as a national forum? I will be the first to say there is an ass for every seat but you need to do a little work to find that ass for that "widget".

I really enjoy seeing quality pieces offered for sale on this site, I do allot of drooling

I also gotta say that with all the money in this area (Boeing, Microsoft....) if the piece is priced appropriately it will sell.

If it doesn't there is always gunbroker which has allot more idiots willing to pay more than something is worth but get ready to pay a commission.

I became a part of SGN to enjoy the sport and to meet more like thinking people. In all honesty I dont have a problem with someone covering their expenses... They used the piece and need to take that into consideration when selling it. This is why I sold 10K primers for $10 per thousand less than Wholesale Sports (hope you were one of the fortunate that got in on it)
Capitalists are a dime a dozen and belong on gunbroker.
I support limiting the bumps before forcing the creation of a new ad.

Probably the most difficult ones to sell aren't priced as new, but open to trades. Mostly because most people want to trade up, so there's always someone offering a Taurus, a holster, and some ammo for an HK. And someone looking to trade an HK isn't likely to want a Taurus, even if the value difference is covered by extras.
As for the continued use of the word capitalist, I'm still pretty sure it's not a good choice of insult. A true capitalist sells a product or service at a price that others find acceptable, making a profit in the process. Someone who prices their wares above what others are willing to pay may be hoping for profit, but they aren't making anything until someone buys.
As was mentioned earlier, if you don't want what someone's selling, don't buy it.

AWESOME GUYS!! Thanks for your opinions!

I'm learning a lot about this because I'm seeing different points-of-views and not being blinded by my idealistic place to be.

    keep them coming !
