My first one was a Commodore 64 in about 1985....I had several friends in school who also owned one and we traded and copied pirated games....while my friends thought they were cool with their Atari and 5 or 6 games, I had hundreds of video games

I'll see your C64 on the coolness scale and raise you an SX64. I bought one of those back in 1984 at the K-Mart on Aurora and 130th. (remember that place?) Loved that thing. Felt totally badass to have a color screen when all the corporate Kaypro fanboys only had green. Would love to have one now. But my first computer I ever bought was a Timex Sinclair 1000. Bought it for about fifty bucks at Radio Shack back in 83. They were closing them out. Felt totally cool to have a computer you could put in your briefcase. Only problem is you needed a wheel barrow to haul around the monitor, as it needed a TV like most others at that time.

    TI-44A followed up by a Tandy 1000 with math co-processor and 5M Hard-Card.
    At work my fire-breather was a 386-33 with co-processor. I remember trying Windows 286.
