    Hey all!

Lived in Seattle for a couple of years, having moved from rural Michigan. I've been surprised by my coworkers and others reactions of astonishment that I own and shoot firearms for recreation. It was always just a part of life in the midwest so I never thought it was different anywhere else.

Anyway, I certainly picked the wrong time (or very right time) to get into building AR15's, but luckily I just got one fully together a few nights back and a 2nd lower in the stages of being built. With all the political fallout the past few months I thought it important to join the local community to help fight for our 2a rights as citizens.

Looking forward to participating in this community!

    Cheers!

    Re: Hey all!

You have discovered the great divide of Eastern and Western Washington:

East side (dry side) overwhelmingly conservative.

West side (wet side) overwhelmingly liberal.

If you want a taste of back home, plan a vacation across the mountains some time. Several great places to see over there if you haven't explored any of that side of the state to date.

    Welcome to the community!

We exist, and it is a bit better on the east side of the lake as well. Plus don't kid yourself, there are a BUTTLOAD of gunshops and enthusiasts south of Seattle. Those libs will want to brainwash you!!!!

IF YOU DON'T LIKE GUNS, THEN DON'T OWN ONE.
45 + rating, so between that and my CPL, you can't trust me, thanks to I-594! Thanks WA state.

    Re: Hey all!

I moved here from Bozeman MT. Talk about culture shock. People are not very gun friendly here so I would suggest finding a club to join. Join the WAC. Great guys in there. I spend most of my time talking and miss out on the good deals. Funny thing though is I'm getting to know some of my neighbors and they're all gun owners. No one talks about it, but you have 2nd amendment supports all around you. Unless you're on capital hill and you'll find out who is really around you there. ha.

Welcome to SGN and welcome to Seattle. Once you get out of the city most folks are generally more relaxed about the firearms hobby. What area are living in now? Maybe we can get a crew together for a food and shoot.
