Howdy from a Golden Eagle collector.

    Howdy.
I would just like to introduce my self and my dad John. We used to collect old winchesters but sold them and now into collecting Golden Eagle rifles and shotguns etc. Would love to see if anyone else out there also collects them and / or if any know of any guys who do. Looking to add to the obsession :)

    Thanks
    Kent

I've never heard of Golden Eagle. So, i'm curious about the quality of the weapon?

Welcome to the site though. Hope to learn more about this brand

Re: Howdy from a Golden Eagle collector.

The rifle was designed by Robbie Robinson, a former top distributor for Roy Weatherby. He started the design process in 1975 and went to Kanematsu-Gosho Trading Co. in late 1975 for manufacturing through Nikko. Nikko made guns for several distributers. Golden Eagle was one of those brands. They were called Golden Eagle from 1975 until March of 1977. Then they were Golden Eagle Firearms from Houston,TX. This was from March of 1977 until Feburary or March of 1981. They also had an agreement with Olin-Winchester which is why the GE's rifles and shotguns , Nikko's shotguns and Winchester 101's and 777 rifles look all alike in basics.
