We have one more week before we head out to clean. Anybody else interested? Anybody else have helpful suggestions?

Can you post a screen shot of a map to the pit?

Here is a google maps directions from Enumclaw, WA.

    http://maps.google.com/maps?saddr=En...=h&mra=ls&z=11

You can zoom in on it if you need to. You don't have to turn off of FS70 at all from Hwy 410.

I will be meeting someone in Enumclaw at 9:45. If you want to meet up and follow me out, just let me know. PM and I will send my cell #.
You can also follow me out from Renton, or if you are coming from the North, you can go down through Issaquah and meet me in Maple Valley to follw me out from there.

Ok, last bump before we head out to clean in the morning. Have had some folks unable to make it as the day has gotten closer, so if you are on the fence about this, please consider coming out to lend a hand. Right now, looks like there will be 6-7 of us or so?

The folks at the ranger station have expressed gratitude that we continue to do this and I think that these cleanups will definitely help sway decisions should the question to close pits ever come up.

They will meet me at 10:30 tomorrow morning with garbage bags and to unlock the gate at the lower pit so I can get the truck out there to collect trash.

Bring gloves, rakes, shovels... bring water, it will be getting up to around 70.

I hope to see more than just 6 or 7.

This benefits the entire gun community keeping the place open by keeping it clean, but also showing that gun owners have a social conscious and are responsible to the anti-gun jerks (I mean 'folks').

FYI the gate to the lower pit has been vandalized so you will be able to open it on your own. The biggest problem seems to be shot shells. If people would clean up after their use it wouldn't be nearly as bad. I'll be out there in two weeks and will clean up some then, out of town this weekend.

Maybe talk to the rangers about making changes to the upper pit as well while you have their attention?
