I have already petitioned for permission to bring in volunteers and equipemnt to resolve the issue with the upper pit...

4 1/2 of us showed us. Jim (Barfly), his 8yo son (the 1/2), myself, Steve (Flashfire) and his son.

We filled Jim's trailer and back of his truck. Jim has pictures I'm sure he will update the post with. 3 hours, Jim was there about 1 hour before others so he as there longer.

Damn only 4.5 huh. I would have joined you guys but work got in the way. I've introduced a few new people to that spot so we'll be out there quite a bit throughout the summer. Actually next Sunday we'll be going. We'll try and maintain the good work you guys have done.

If someone has a large magnet that would help save a back when it's time to clean up all those shells. If everyone would chip in this would be a good idea http://www.harborfreight.com/30-inch...els-93245.html it would be rough draging it over the rocks there but would save a bunch of time and a sore back.
I did a review here, highly recommended

After my son and I left, I was thinking I should have taken some before/after photos to post up. I think given the light turn out and only being up there for a few hours, we made very significant difference.

After my son and I unloaded at the Forestry Service's dumpster out at the bunkhouse, we actually went back up for a little while and picked up a few more bags of shotgun shell husks, and then picked up some brass. We were just enjoying the sunshine and being out there.

When it was all said and done, we (Jmathisn, myself, my son, flashfire and his eldest son) managed to gather up 23 large garbage bags of trash, plus we loaded up quite a bit onto my flatbed and hauled it out. We kept driving around and found many many more locations that could really use our help. I would like to try and do this again next month.
If you are interested in helping towards the end of July, please let me know yes or no, and what Saturday or Sunday would work best for you and hopefully, we can arrange a date that works best for most folks interested in helping.

    Thanks!
