Seahurst is a cool spot, we take the munchkin down to the beach there all the time.

this is the email I got back from Burien Parks on Seahurst

Brad, Here is the map of the South shelter area and the rates for rental at Seahurst. The south shelter has 3 BBQ troughs for your briquettes – we do not recommend hand carrying in a propane BBQ. The capacity for the WHOLE South shelter AREA is 150 – that would be if your group rented the shelter AND the surrounding picnic tables. We currently plan on closing the Park on July 22 of this year for a major project at the north end of the park. Give us a call if your group is still interested in booking – 206-988-3700.

It says something about not recommending hand carrying a propane grill in. If you have to hand carry stuff into the spot you might not be able to fit Jagers smoker in there if he is bringing it. You might double check that.

ok Got a email back, seems all the shelters will be closed for rentals after July 22nd.

Brad, you can bring your BBQ/smoker if you can carry it from the parking lot and it is off the ground (for fire danger reasons). Also please carefully dispose of any briquettes (or wood chips?) to prevent garbage can fires.
Price is gonna be around $135 if a Burien Resident does the Shelter Reservation or $155 if a Non-Resident does it.

Still awaiting a list of what days are available..

Has anyone thought about having the BBQ/Picnic at a outdoor gun range???
