I thought I was the only one seeing the problems sometimes. Glad to see I wasn't the only one.

So that's not the site itself...that's the hosting service. There is nothing we can do about that besides look for a better host. Also...Tikiman001 is correct. We are now running "GingerBlock." LOL.

yeah, that was a response from the server, not an actual VB issue. Just wanted to make sure you were aware. Perhaps some ammo to go to GoDaddy with? I dunno how much monthly hosting fee is, but if we keep getting a lot of 503 errors, they need to take a look at shit on their side...

Just a side note....one of the toy manufacturers I represent recently had all of their websites stolen. They were Russian hackers and they hacked into the accounts on GoDaddy and changed all of the ownership and billing information and now GoDaddy is making them get an attorney and PROVE that they are the actual owners of their own sites. These hackers have been making a killing by doing this and then offering to sell the owners back the site for $10,000 - $15,000....as it is much cheaper than having to hire an attorney to get them back for you.

GoDaddy has also refused to speak with the Toy Company directly and will only correspond through their attorney. This coupled with our recent Tunisian friend I think shows the lack of security GoDaddy has for their hosted sites.....

    just food for thought....

The Tunisian hack had nothing to do with GD, it had to do with an un-patched exploit in vB.. Blame Brandon for that one..

There were a few LEA's that paid in bitcoin to get their data back after Cryptolocker.
Fortunately none were clients of mine. No secure data backup, IT manager should have been fired.
Worst I had with that was an owners kid who clicked on an email that said he had a voicemail.
Lost everything on his local computer and letter mapped drives.
"It said I had a voicemail."
I asked "When you usually get a voicemail, does it send you an email?"
    "No"
    "Then don't click on it!"
Zero day exploit, plus the clicker was "special".

One of the boards I partially own was hit the same day with the vB exploit, different protest.
Plus two clients. Had them all back up in a couple hours.
