Steel plates don't take much punishment at 300 yards, Jim. ;>) I have three 6x6 plates that sit on steel fence posts. What kind do you have?
    Hoping for some variety.

Sorry, I don't know Capital Forest well enough to choose a shooting site and don't think we can stretch Greenwater to 300 yards.
My "other" choice is a longer trip... to the dry side.
300+ yards, accessible almost always, drier than anything we are likely to enjoy on this side... 10 miles east of E-burg.
Public land, sagebrush and hills for backstops.
Plenty of room for trucks, shooting benches, chronographs, etc. Gas grills?

I have a couple of 8" AR500 rounds that swing from a lean-to stand. They still have yet to be fired at :)

I have a 10 in plate and a few railroad plates for plinking.

Would love for a bolt gun day on the east side anytime

I would be down for that too, just as soon as I get one ready. :)

I'm in for a north end shoot too ;) The pit up near Sedro-Woolley, while not much longer than 100 yards, is still plenty fun.

    Re: Group shoot time!

Okay, it looks like it will be Capitol Forest for this shoot. Lets get a count on who's coming and who is bringing what. It might be a little bit wet, but I will still be there. I will plan on having a fire to keep warm. I will bring my canopy, a table a pot of chili and a little bit of firewood. While we won't probably have enough folks for an all out clean-up effort, we could gather a bunch of the burnable shit together and burn it before the end of the day.

I was thinking of posting this to WGO as well, see if we can get some more folks out there in the spirit of pro 2nd Amendment brotherhood. What say you?

Hmm. I am tentatively in, surely would like to meet some more of you guys -- depends on how late I have to work the day before. IF I can make it, I can bring a table, canopy, trash bags and some food as well ...
