    Loosening a kydex holster?

Bought a Ronin owb for a Beretta 92. Love the way it carries but it's very tight. Really hard to clear the gun from the holster. Thinking about wrapping the gun in saran wrap and putting it in after heating the holster up with a heat gun. Thoughts?

That sounds like it would work. Or maybe use painters tape to find the tight spots & put the holster in hot water or heat gun treatment & reinstall gun in holster with tape only on the tight spots. So you're not making it too loose.

I've adjusted kydex using a hair dryer, heat gun might get too hot.

Crossbreed Holsters has an excellent step by step on their website in the FAQ section. Well worth the read.

I used to use the really thick plastic bag the holster came in, nice and thick and durable and a little more heat resistant than food wrap! I'd be tempted to go the painters tape route as i'd be a little concerned at the food wrap melting onto the gun!

    Good luck either way

I considered that, I was thinking about putting a layer of electrical tape on the slide and trigger guard instead of painters tape.

Why not send it back to GunfightersInc and have them adjust it? I'm sure they would be happy to do so... good folks in Peshastin!

Could try some silicone spray and see if that helps. But really sounds like their blank was off a little. Heat gun on low should work fine.

One thing I like about my rocket man (rm holster), is that they have tension nuts if you need them. Been wearing it for several years and it's still perfect tension
